5. Analytical Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytical service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The storage of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and advertising.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Browser plugin

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de .

Order data processing

We have concluded an order data processing contract with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

Within the scope of Google AdWords we use the so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that the Internet browser stores on the user's computer. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user has clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Clients learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can object to this by easily deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via your internet browser under user settings. They will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

The storage of “conversion cookies” is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and advertising.

For more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, please see Google's privacy policy:https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/ .

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies upon closing of the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. Through this service, website tags can be managed through one interface. The Google Tool Manager only implements tags. That means: No cookies are used and no personal data is collected. The Google Tool Manager triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. However, Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags, insofar as these are implemented with the Google Tag Manager. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookies and related to your use of the websites by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link under the item DoubleClick deactivation extension. Alternatively, you can disable the Doubleclick cookies on the Digital Advertising Alliance site at the link below.

DoubleClick by Google

Doubleclick by Google is a service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Doubleclick by Google uses cookies to provide you with ads that are relevant to you. In doing so, a pseudonymous identification number (ID) is assigned to your browser in order to check which ads have been displayed in your browser and which ads have been called up. The cookies do not contain any personal information. The use of DoubleClick cookies only enables Google and its partner websites to provide ads based on previous visits to our or other websites on the Internet. The information generated by the cookies is transferred by Google to a server in the USA for evaluation and stored there. A transfer of data by Google to third parties only takes place due to legal regulations or in the context of order data processing. Under no circumstances will Google merge their data with other data collected by Google. By using our website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google and the aforementioned method of data processing and the aforementioned purpose. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.

Facebook Pixel

Our website uses the visitor action pixel from Facebook, Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) for conversion measurement.

This makes it possible to track the behavior of page visitors after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows us to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and to optimize future advertising efforts.

The collected data is anonymous for us as the operator of this website, we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook data usage policy.
